The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League kicked off holiday celebrations with the Fashion Notes Designer Award Luncheon, Auctions and Style Show at The Ritz-Carlton. An annual event highlighting fashion design and the Dallas Symphony community, Fashion Notes in its 6th year was a day to remember. The morning began with a reception, reimagined silent auction and Designer Award Presentation and Style Show followed by a Luncheon and Live Auction. Stunning fall fashions from Stanley Korshak, Patti Flowers Design Studio and Kid Biz were featured modeled by League members and their families, past and present DSOL Debutantes and members of our DSO family.

The DSOL is pleased to announce that Patti Flowers has been named the recipient of the 2nd annual Fashion Notes Designer Award. Patti is a native Texan who spent her career in the luxury fashion industry. She began designing over 25 years ago. When the exclusive Dallas retailer Stanley Korshak opened its first bridal salon, Flowers was asked to be the in-house designer specializing in bridal, evening, and debutante gowns. Today, Flowers is recognized as one of the premier bridal and fine apparel designers in Texas. In 2006, Flowers launched the Patti Flowers Design Studio.

The Honorary Chair for this spectacular event was Ms. Venise Stuart. Ms. Stuart has been a dedicated volunteer and supporter of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the DSOL for many years. She has served on the Board of the DSOL in many capacities and is a Past Presentation Ball Chair.

Benefiting: The proceeds from this event benefit the Dallas Symphony Association and its education and community outreach programs. Some of the quality outreach programs the League supports are: DSO on the Go, Community Concerts and Performances, Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concerts, Symphony Yes!, DSO Kids, Young Strings and Young Musicians.
